Terms of Service
This page is maintained by ApproveIn to summarize how the service may be used. It is a plain-language draft, not legal advice, and will be replaced by a formal agreement reviewed by counsel.
Who can use ApproveIn
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a rental agreement in your jurisdiction. You'll create an account as either an Applicant (renter) or a Listing Manager, and use ApproveIn only in that role.
Your Profile, your control
Your credentials, documents, and household information belong to you. ApproveIn only shows another party what you explicitly choose to share, for the time window you set, and you may revoke access at any time from Shared Activity.
Accurate information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself and your household. Uploading forged, altered, or misleading documents is prohibited and may result in immediate termination and referral to authorities.
No unlawful or harmful use
You will not use ApproveIn to violate any law (including fair-housing, consumer-reporting, and privacy laws), to harass or defraud others, to gain unauthorized access to accounts, or to interfere with the service's operation or security.
Listing manager obligations
Listing managers must additionally accept the Responsible Use Agreement, which prohibits reselling or sharing applicant data with third parties and requires purpose-limited, non-discriminatory use.
Account security
Keep your password confidential. You're responsible for activity under your account and must notify us of any suspected unauthorized access.
Service availability and changes
ApproveIn is provided "as is" and may change over time. We may update these terms; if we do, we'll ask you to accept the new version before you continue using the service.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the Responsible Use Agreement, or where required by law.
